The search is on for a Potter County (Texas) jail inmate who fled last week in a sheriff's department SUV -- with guns in it. Chief Deputy Ken Farren identifies the trusty as 22-year-old Govan Brandon Mills. Farren says Mills was on work detail at the county vehicle maintenance barn in Amarillo when the inmate was instructed to get a 2004 Ford Expedition washed. Farren says Mills instead fled in that S-U-V, which is clearly marked as a law enforcement vehicle. The S-U-V had a shotgun and a rifle inside. Mills was in custody awaiting sentencing on a state jail felony theft charge. |
