Texas officials continued to help with the search Friday morning of 29-year Tommy Pina who escaped from the Dickens County Jail Thursday afternoon. Dickens is just 60 miles East of Lubbock. Pina climbed a 10 foot razor wire fence to escape the Dickens County Jail. Pina escaped at 1:15 p.m. on Saturday. At least four law enforcement agencies are involved in the search for Pina. Authorities with Dickens County, Garza County, DPS, as well as DPS helicopters out of Midland, and the Texas Rangers are on the hunt for Pina. After his escape, Pina broke into a near by house, where he is believed to have changed his clothing, since his orange jail clothes were found inside the house. He then stole a 2005 Chevrolet crew cab pickup. DPS set up road blocks around the area, but Pina may be on his way to Dallas. |
