A 22-year old has stabbed two prison officers with a kitchen table knife at a prison west of Melbourne, police say. The prisoner stabbed an officer at Barwon Prison in Australia yesterday and then attacked the second officer as he attempted to restrain him, a police spokesman said. "The first officer was working at a console shortly after 6pm (AEST) when he was attacked by the prisoner who had armed himself with a kitchen table knife," the spokesman said. The first officer was taken to Geelong Hospital in a stable condition and the second officer was treated at the scene for minor lacerations to his face. The police prison squad are investigating. |
