Authorities have started to investigate prison officials in northern Florida after a regional director unexpectedly stepped down last month. Although officials say that no arrests or indictments have been made, they do acknowledge that the ongoing investigation ever since Allen Clark, the director of institutions, resigned. According to reports, Clark's resignation letter was only four sentences long, but most of his colleagues and supervisors refuse to comment - including Florida Governor Jeb Bush, who says discussing Clark's letter is a "no-no". Although the investigation is spurring discussion among corrections employees, officials remain tight-lipped. |
