Corrections officers continued the search for Darrell Edward Tuggle, 39, and Steven Kirkley, 27, who both remain at large after escaping from the Marion-Walthall Correctional Facility in Mississippi. Tuggle and Kirkley escaped with another inmate, 25-year old Curtis Dickson. Police apprehended Dickson on Tuesday, after he became irate at a Florida hurricane shelter and the authorities were called.

All three men had prior murder convictions: Tuggle has already served time in an Arizona prison for murder, Kirkley was serving time for a Mississippi murder, and Dickson was being held on two counts of murder in Marion County. Officials say that they realized Tuggle was missing after a head count on Monday afternoon, and that his escape is “actively under investigation”.
