In April, a convicted felon escaped from a halfway house facility in Hoboken, N.J., but it wasn't an escape that would last for long. Carnell Davis, 27, is being charged for committing two homicides after allegedly robbing two people at gunpoint. Officials say that Davis shot and killed brothers Johnny and Edgar Infante, who were working as livery van drivers. Police arrested Davis on Monday at his girlfriend's house, blocks away from the crime scenes. Davis faces 75 years in prison if convicted, and is being held onĀ $1 million bail. Davis had previously been serving an 8-10 year prison sentence for armed robbery, during which he and three other men robbed a woman using sawed-off shotguns. |
