After being sentenced to prison, a 19-year old man hanged himself in the Kent Count Jail in Michigan, becoming the second inmate to kill himself at the facility in the last two weeks.

Jonathan McGonigle died on September 14, after tying a bedsheet around his neck and hanging himself.

But, according to reports, the Sheriff's Department released no information regarding the week-old suicide until recently. The department stated that it wanted to spare the family further grief and that they were honoring the family's requests for privacy.
