| Inmates Turned Away |

Texas inmates are being turned away due to overcrowded prisons, according to reports. The Gregg County Jail is turning away only nonviolent offenders, and officials have also agreed not to execute some arrest warrants because the jail is almost filled to capacity. Sheriff Maxey Cerliano reported that the jail would take in those arrested daily and those arrested on warrants related to violent crimes.
