The North Carolina Department of Corrections is searching for an escaped inmate. Herbert Spruill, 48, escaped from Wake County Prison on Monday afternoon, where he was serving three years for making a bomb threat.

Officials say that Spruill could be making his way towards Williamston to see his girlfriend and his sister. Spruill had a history of attempted escapes. North Carolina authorities are asking anyone with information to contact them.
