An inmate at  the Schuylkill County, Pa., Prison tried to hang himself last week, but corrections officers intervened. According to officials, an unidentified 45-year old inmate tied his bed sheet to the bars on his cell window in an attempt to hang himself. However, corrections officers found the inmate before he could harm himself – and prevented what would have been the prisons third suicide this year.

The inmate has been transferred to isolation at Pennsylvania's Pottsville prison and is under a suicide watch.
