Inmate Escapes in Unmentionables
By ABC News
Published: 10/14/2005

A female prisoner escaped from McCook Community Hospital in Nebraska yesterday. According to officers, the inmate – whose name was not released – had been taken to the hospital for treatment.

Officers believe that after asking to use the bathroom, the inmate somehow escaped from both the bathroom and the hospital. Shortly after her escape, her ex-husband – who had come to the hospital – found her orange jail jumpsuit outside in a nearby cornfield.

Officials found the woman in her undergarments after she attempted to break-in to a house. According to Police Chief Ike Brown, the woman gave a “pretty good footrace through some yards” before she was captured. She was taken back to the hospital and treated for injuries that stemmed from her attempted break-in.
