By Associated Press
Published: 10/20/2005

One of the two Oklahoma inmates that escaped from a Lexington prison was caught yesterday. Officers say that Pharon Johnson, 49, was taken back into custody without incident. Johnson was arrested outside of a grocery store in Oklahoma.

According to reports, Johnson used a payphone at the grocery store to call his family in Bethany. Johnson told his family that they should contact the police for him because he was ready to surrender. His family contacted police immediately, and the convicted rapist was taken back into prison.

Johnson was escorted from the grocery store to the corrections facility without incident. However, officers said that Johnson refused to comment on the whereabouts of his fellow escapee, Aaron Olsen, a convicted murderer. Olsen is still on the run after escaping with Johnson earlier this week.
