An escaped Ohio inmate turned himself in to Illinois police yesterday, after five months on the run. Randy Rencher escaped from Ohio's Cook County Jail in June, while working a food delivery shift. Rencher escaped using tunnels beneath the prison. Rencher is a prime suspect in five bank robberies that occurred during his time on the run. Rencher turned himself in to a local police station after officers announced he was a prime suspect in the string of bank robberies. According to officials, Rencher was arrested without incident, and remains in custody. It is unknown which state will house Rencher when he serves the rest of his time and faces the robbery charges. |
