Six California inmates escaped from the Stanislaus County Honor Farm last night, according to reports. The inmates were last seen by staff at around 5:00 p.m. on Thursday night. Officials believe the inmates used a metal shower seat to dig a hole in the wall of a common bathroom. Officers could not locate the inmates - Michael Richison, David Brainard, Robert Banks, Jose Talamantes, Michael Phan, and Kenneth Groomes - after an extensive search of the facility and the surrounding areas. The inmates were being held at the farm for auto theft, possession of stolen property, and drug related charges respectively. Officials continue to search for the inmates and ask that anyone with information contact the Stanislaus County Sheriff's Department. |
