A Georgia murder suspect awaiting trial killed himself before dawn Thursday at the Gwinnett County jail, authorities said. Jon Mark Eskew, 49, had been accused of stabbing his wife, Charlie, 41, to death Sept. 30 at the couple's home inĀ  Gwinnett County.

He apparently slashed his arm open in his cell during the early-morning hours without drawing the attention of guards or his cellmates, said Sheriff's Department spokeswoman Stacey Kelley.

His cellmates discovered the body about 5 a.m., she said. Eskew apparently bled to death.
