In most agencies, the only time officers have to demonstrate some level of fitness is when they are not yet even law enforcement officers. That is, to get into and graduate from an academy, candidates usually have to pass some sort of fitness test. Once they become officers they are no longer held accountable for the physical fitness. This book talks about diet and nutrition the principles of fitness, how to design an individualized exercise program and why it is important.
