The second escaped inmate from the Beauregard Parish Jail was captured at a trailer house near Sour Lake, Texas last week. The BPSO received a call from the Hardin County Sheriff Department and the U.S. Marshall's Service advising that they had arrested Richard at a trailer house near Sour Lake, Texas in Hardin County. BPSO was told that they had received information that Richard would be found at this trailer. Officers from the U.S. Marshall's Service, Hardin County Sheriff Department and Texas Department of Corrections surrounded the trailer and Richard was taken into custody without incident. BPSO deputies went to Texas and returned Richard to Beauregard Parish late last week. On Friday night, Oct. 14, BPSO deputies believed that William D. Dubose and Dolan L. Richard escaped from the Beauregard Parish Jail. Dubose was dressed in a gray sweat suit with the name Mark Cain written on the left pant leg and Richard was dressed in dark gray sweat pants and light gray sweatshirt. Information obtained indicates that both left walking south from the BPSO Jail eventually making their way to the Merryville area where they were given two rides, ending up just north of Starks then getting another ride to the Sulphur area. Last week, BPSO was contacted by the Hardin County Sheriff Department in Kountz, Texas advising that they had received information that Dubose was living in the Hardin and and Jasper County area of Texas and they were going to attempt to locate him. At approximately 4:15 p.m. BPSO received a call that deputies from both Hardin and Jasper counties had arrested Dubose when he arrived at a location to purchase narcotics. Dubose was taken into custody without incident and will remain in Jasper County Jail pending extradition to BPSO in DeRidder. He was extradited on last week. Both Richard and Dubose remain in the BPSO jail and previous charges and bond and an additional bond of $250,000 for the escape. Investigating officers were Hardin County Sheriff Department, Texas Department of Corrections and the U.S. Marshall's Office. |
