It all started last week, when Wyoming18-year-olds Jared Jake Good and Kevin Lee Ueland climbed over a 15-foot wall around the Park County Jail exercise yard, then slipped under the chain-link cover that's on top of the wall. A passing motorist saw the men running away from the jail and called 911. They were caught about eight hours later outside West Park Hospital in Cody. This isn't the first time the Park County jail has had such an escape. In 1998, two men escaped in much the same manner. Sheriff Scott Seward says he'll look into how the men were able to escape, and what jail officers were doing at the time. Meanwhile, Good and Ueland are back in jail -- and, if convicted of escape, they could face an additional three years behind bars. |
