An Allen Parish jail employee has been accused of helping two Louisiana inmates escape for about six hours. Kevin Freeman was booked with malfeasance, obstruction of justice, criminal conspiracy, theft, assisting escape and introducing contraband into a correctional facility, said sheriff's deputy Grant Willis. Freeman was jailed in lieu of $35,000 bond. The inmates, Michael Manuel and Victor Redmon, each were charged with aggravated escape, resisting an officer and criminal conspiracy, Willis said. |
