Police are still investigating a fight that erupted inside a jail bus transporting dozens of inmates to court earlier this week, injuring two suspects in high-profile slayings. One of seven gang members charged in the Nov. 13 shooting of 11-year-old Mynesha Crenshaw, 34-year-old Sidikiba Greenwood, suffered minor injuries in the scuffle.

Louis Mitchell Jr., 35, suffered several lacerations to the face and was transported to Arrowhead Regional Medical Center in Colton. Mitchell, accused of killing three people and injuring three others in an Aug. 8 shooting rampage from Colton to San Bernardino, was returned to West Valley Detention Center in Rancho Cucamonga late Tuesday.

The brawl occurred around 7:30 a.m. Tuesday while the bus was traveling eastbound on Interstate 10, spokeswoman Jodi Miller said. No information was available on suspects or weapons and it is unclear how a fight escalated with the prisoners in restraints, she said. Many inmates were placed in additional shackles, and many court hearings were delayed for hours.
