COs Charged with Steroid Possession
By Associated Press
Published: 01/23/2006

Four Alabama Department of Corrections officers have been charged with steroid possession, according to court documents filed Friday. The four men - Robert Combass, Stacey Lanier Green, Kevin Kennington, and Chuck Wilson  face up to a year in prison if convicted, The Florida Times-Union reported.

None of the four men have been arrested, but they will receive summons to appear in court. They were also placed on paid leave last week, said Robby Cunningham, a DOC spokesman.

The charges bring the total to 10 officers or former corrections employees that have been indicted on steroids-related criminal charges. Six former officers have already pleaded guilty to either selling or possessing steroids, and four of them were sentenced, but did not receive prison time, the paper reported.
