Ronald Pruitt, 44, an Ohio corrections officer, was charged with aggravated and felonious assault for allegedly shooting another officer, Daniel Thomas, 40, who was admitted to the hospital with gunshot wounds to the arm and leg. Police said they have not yet determined a motive for the shooting, but said that it might have been the result of an ongoing feud between the two officers. Witnesses told police they heard gunshots and saw Thomas fall to the ground. Thomas identified Pruitt as the shooter, police said. Police said Pruitt also introduced himself as the shooter, Bowersock reported. Pruitt has no history of any similar behavior. Thomas has asked that no information about his condition be released, but police said his condition is not life-threatening. |
