In Oregon: 2 inmates escape from work camp

Authorities were searching last week for two inmates who escaped from a prison work camp near Tillamook.
State officials said the missing men were Frankie Gentry, 26, who was convicted of robbery in Multnomah County, and John Wilder, 27, who was admitted to prison in 2000 on identity theft, theft and burglary charges, also in Multnomah County.
The two were missed at midnight, Department of Corrections spokeswoman Perrin Damon said.
She said they had been present and accounted for just two hours before at the South Fork Forest Camp, a minimum custody, unfenced prison in the Tillamook Forest. Damon said she did not know if the two were armed, but that there were no firearms missing from the Forest Camp.
