| Calif. Inmate Death Investigated |

An inmate at California's Antelope Valley State Prison was found dead Tuesday and sheriff's detectives were sent to the facility to investigate, officials said. The body of an inmate was found at 11:19 a.m. at the prison, said Deputy Luis Castro, a sheriff's spokesman. Sheriff's detectives routinely investigate deaths in the state prison, Castro said. There was no immediate indication that foul play was involved, Castro said. The identity of the inmate was not immediately available. |
