Tennessee's Cocke County Sheriff's Department went on a drug hunt last week at the county jail. Cocke County Sheriff's deputies, with help from the Morristown Police Department's drug dog, went looking for contraband. New Cocke County Sheriff Billy Wayne Moore has only been on the job for two days, but he says this search will send a clear signal that drugs will not be tolerated. "It is really disturbing we found needles I'm not sure what that consists of, we are going to get that tested. We have different things, contraband. We have been having drugs in the jail, this is my second day on the job but I want them to know I am not going to tolerate drugs over here," says Sheriff Moore. The shake down turned up drug related materials, such as a syringes and ashes and leafy material that could be marijuana. The material will be tested for verification. |
