A former Pennsylvania inmate is suing Lancaster County Prison's warden, ten officers, a prison doctor and a nurse over a beating he says occurred last summer. Jonathan Eichelman says in a federal lawsuit that officers encouraged inmates to attack him and that he didn't receive proper medical treatment. The lawsuit says officers falsely called him a child rapist and said he shot a two-year-old boy. Charges related to that shooting were later dropped. The lawsuit says officers may have confused Eichelman with a rape defendant jailed the same day. Warden Vincent Guarini calls the lawsuit's allegations fiction. |
