A New Hampshire prisoner who walked away from a work detail last week has been apprehended, officials said. Arthur Giles, 61, a convicted forger from North Hampton, was arrested at a Salvation Army center in Portsmouth, corrections spokesman Jeff Lyons said. Police were told he was at the center. Lyons said Giles walked away from a road crew at the New Hampshire Technical Institute in Manchester. He had been in the state prison's minimum security unit since August for violating parole. Lyons said he expects Giles to be charged with escaping, a felony. |
