A New York state prisoner serving a collective sentence of 75 years to life pleaded guilty in Cayuga County Court last week to felony charges he threw urine and feces at two sets of corrections officers Feb. 9, 2005 at the Auburn Correctional Facility. John Bradley, 45, entered a guilty plea to two felony charges of aggravated harassment of an employee by an inmate. Bradley admitted throwing bodily waste at one officer collecting trash from inmates' cells. He admitted throwing more bodily waste at three officers as they put up a piece of Plexiglas at the front of Bradley's cell after the first offense. The Plexiglas is used in the state Department of Correctional Services system to protect corrections officers from inmates who throw urine, feces and other bodily fluids. Bradley, currently held in Sullivan Correctional Facility, is in prison for an Erie County conviction of two charges of first-degree rape, one charge of first-degree sodomy and one charge of third-degree rape. His sentencing is scheduled for April 11. He faces a maximum sentence of up to five years imprisonment for his guilty plea. A Cayuga County grand jury had originally indicted him on the charge. |
