A security review is under way at Iowa's Linn County jail in Cedar Rapids. That's after an inmate was released by mistake earlier this week. Sheriff's Captain Brian Gardner declined to give specifics about what happened, but says they've taken steps to make sure it doesn't happen again. The inmate, Tom Henderson of Cedar Rapids, was arrested last week. He was taken to jail, where he spent the night. Officials say after a court appearance, a deputy mistakenly let him leave. At last report, Henderson hasn't been found. Henderson, who was arrested on forgery and fraudulent use of credit card charges, also faces an escape charge. |
