| Six inmates die in Brazil prison escape |

Six inmates died and several were injured during a massive escape through the sewers of a high security prison in the city of Sao Paulo, in Brazil on Sunday, Nov. 9. Rescuers and police worked through the rubble of the tunnel which collapsed after dozens of inmates took flight. A police battalion arrived at 1300 local time (1600 GMT) at the Penitenciaria do Estado in the city's outskirts to round up more than 40 prisoners who managed to escape through a makeshift tunnel and take them back to the prison. |
