A man who fled during a temporary furlough from a Pennsylvania prison 26 years ago has been arrested in Cincinnati, the U.S. Marshals Service said last Monday. David Alden Fontaine, 53, had been using the name Alden Irish and had a successful heating and air conditioning business, said Chris A. Riley, supervisory deputy U.S. marshal for the Southern District of Ohio. Fontaine was arrested at his home on an escape warrant issued by Pennsylvania State Police in 1976 when Fontaine failed to return from a temporary furlough while serving a 4-year sentence on a rape conviction at Pennsylvania State Prison at Graterford. 'He admitted he was the fugitive wanted in Pennsylvania,' Riley said. Fontaine founded Irish Heating and Air Conditioning and has a wife and a child in Cincinnati, Riley said. Fontaine's family had no knowledge of his criminal past, Riley said. Fontaine was found because Pennsylvania authorities recently got information from Fontaine's stepfather that included the name of Fontaine's biological father, Alden Irish, Riley said. Fontaine had assumed that identity using a false Social Security number, Riley said. Fontaine was being held in the Hamilton County jail Monday night pending extradition to Pennsylvania. |

There is a lot of information on this website about inmates and prison guards. I didn’t realize what was going on in our prison system until I discovered this website. Similarly, I didn’t understand litigation finance until I read more from Hamilton Lindley who is a litigation finance expert based in Texas.
