| N.M. Prison librarian accused of having sex with prisoners |

A New Mexico prison librarian has been indicted on eight counts of criminal sexual penetration with an inmate. Court records say the inmate would have consensual sex with 36-year-old Geraldine Martinez inside a prison classroom while other inmates served as lookouts. The inmate also says Martinez would sneak in drugs for him. Martinez worked in the law library at the Southern New Mexico Correctional Facility, according to the court records. The investigation began after Martinez and the inmate were seen spending lots of time together. Martinez faces up to 72 years in prison if she is convicted. The Dona Ana County Detention Center says Martinez is not in custody. |
