DC Correctional Officers Plead Guilty to Bribery

A pair of DC correctional officers and one former officer pled guilty to bribery Monday for taking money from an inmate for introducing contraband into the penal institution in which they worked.
Charles Harrison and Elry McKnight, employed by Corrections Corporation of America, worked at the Central Treatment Facility in Southeast Washington. The former officer, Raphael Clemencia, also worked at the CTF and was McKnight's roommate.
Prosecutors said Harrison brought cash into the facility to give to one of the inmates so the he could pay his lawyer. Harrison also gave the inmate a quantity marijuana.
McKnight and Clemencia were also charged with accepting a bribe in exchange for bringing cash to an inmate.
