A published report claims female inmates in the Perry County (Ky.) Detention Center had access to a master key for at least two weeks and used it to open their cell doors and entertain male inmates. The Hazard-Perry News Journal says the key was stolen from a maintenance man without his knowledge in December. After the theft was discovered, the key was found in its hiding place; the toilet. Two former inmates told the newspaper that on two occasions, four male inmates went into the female cell and three of them had consensual sex with three female inmates. Jailer Mac Feltner told WYMT that he's still investigating the incident and disciplinary action will be taken if necessary. |
