Fifty-two years after a man walked away from a South Georgia prison work detail, he's been caught.
Seventy-nine-year-old Donald Jessie Harrell was found February 13 in Dixie County, Florida.
Harrell escaped from a Decatur County Public Works Camp in 1951. He was serving time for writing a bad check and had served five weeks of his eight-month sentence.
District Attorney Brown Mosley says, however, he won't prosecute Harrell on the charge now.
He was a decorated World War Two veteran and a former prisoner of war.
