An Ohio prison inmate has been indicted on a charge that he threatened to kill President Bush. Justin Burris, 21, was accused by a federal grand jury in Cleveland last week of writing a letter containing a threat while in the Trumbull Correctional Institution, said Thomas Bauer, an assistant U.S. attorney. Burris is now in the Southern Ohio Correctional Facility in Lucasville serving an 11-year term for escape and felony assault in an Ashland County case, according to the Web site of the Ohio Department of Rehabilitation and Correction. The new charge resulted from an investigation by the Akron office of the Secret Service. If convicted of the one count, Burris could be sentenced to five years in prison and a $250,000 fine. |
