An Adams County jail inmate with 90 minutes left on his sentence escaped recently.
Rafael Carriosolis, 25, was in serving time for a malicious mischief conviction and had inmate worker status when he walked away. Relatives waiting outside the jail were gone when deputies noticed he had disappeared, Adams County Sheriff's Lt. Gale Voyles said in a press release.
Carriosolis was scheduled to be released at 4:30 a.m. but disappeared at 3 a.m. While preparing to release Carriosolis, jail officials discovered an outstanding arrest warrant for first-degree burglary, Voyles said.
Carriosolis was wearing jail-issue tan overalls with ''Adams County Jail'' stenciled across the back.
Two teens who escaped from a state detention center in Pueblo were recaptured about three miles away early April 30.
Timothy Swanson and Joshua Hardin, both 18, were serving six-year sentences at the Youthful Offender System after being convicted as adults of aggravated robbery.
Details of the recapture were unavailable.
