Inmates Get Their Chance to Be Dads in Prison Program
By Peninsula Daily News

They weren't going to let a little rain spoil their special day -- nor would they let razor wire cut into their happiness.
The first-ever Father and Children's Day at Clallam Bay Corrections Center in Washington was warmly received Saturday by inmates and their children.
The state's first such event in a facility that houses maximum-security inmates included 14 prisoners and 17 children, plus their adult escorts.
Their children traveled from all over the Puget Sound area to the northwestern reaches of Clallam County for an emotion-packed event behind high walls ringed with razor wire and guard towers.
The five-hour program was scheduled for the prison courtyard but was moved inside a gym when rain began falling about 10 a.m.
