In Williamson County, Texas, a bizarre jail inmate escape is finally over. Wednesday morning, deputies found the pregnant escapee who bolted while at a hospital two days ago. Monday night, Cheryl 'Lynne' Trimm, a pregnant inmate at the Williamson County jail, escaped while waiting to give birth at Seton Northwest Hospital. She's seven months pregnant, with a history of complications. Police say she was in a wheelchair about to go into the hospital delivery room, but when the deputy guarding her turned his back, she bolted. Wednesday morning, deputies found Trimm with a friend. The hospital is keeping it confidential, but as far as the Sheriff's office knows, she has not had the baby. Trimm is behind bars charged with sexual assault of a 15-year-old boy and her parole's been revoked for prior theft and child support convictions. Trimm now faces another felony charge for escape from police custody. She could get up to 15 years in prison if convicted of that. The people she was staying with could also face charges of harboring a fugitive. As for the fate of the unborn baby, it will go into the hands of Child Protective Services. |
