Myron Price was being transported to Court in Dover, Del. when he, somehow, got out of his cuffs and shackles and bolted from the Department of Corrections van right outside the courthouse. One officer took off after Price, the other had to stay and watch the other prisoners. Department of Corrections Spokeswoman Beth Welsh says they are still trying to piece together what happened. "We called in our emergency response team," Welsh said. A little after the breakout, police say Price broke into Wesley Pre-School. He ditched the prison jumpsuit and picked up a new set of clothes. Officials describe him as 5'7", African-American, with light skin, a scar on his nose, tattoos on his chest and upper right arm. He could be wearing blue jeans and a cream colored shirt, 3-quarter length coat, a dark green smock, and a black wool cap. "He did not leave a note... But he does have ties in Sussex County, Delaware," said Welsh. Price was on his way to the courthouse for a long list of charges stemming from a robbery. He was already serving 8 years for drug trafficking. Police say he's dangerous and warn that if you come across him, you should contact authorities. |
