CORIS is a fully-integrated, web-based offender management system (OMS) built from the ground up using Microsoft .NET technology. Supporting the CORIS solution are xwave's end-to-end, system-integration capabilities; these encompass project management; user training; organizational change management; data conversion; software development; and client support. The result is an industry-leading, enterprise-class OMS that, being fully scalable, effectively supports the needs of all state-level corrections agenciesboth community corrections and prison operations. CORIS also supports case management, offender financial management, and central office information reporting. CORIS' functionality incorporates a single database and electronic offender record, thereby enabling a seamless view of offender history, status, and other important data such as medical information and security alerts. Integral to CORIS' design is integration: CORIS connects all relevant user groups in real-time, thus providing a holistic view of the offender environment. Consequently, users gain an informed understanding of the offender population, and are able to make the best possible decisions related to security (offender risks) and treatment (offender needs).
Apart From The Rest... xwave's CORIS solution has significantly differentiated itself from other outwardly similar systems on the OMS market: Our Architecture: CORIS is a genuine web-based Offender Management System (OMS), not a client/server application that has been web-enabled. As such, it is designed solely to operate on a web platform. This is an important factor for clients because it not only delivers to them a higher level of functionality, but also eases and accelerates system maintenance and upgrades. This in turn eliminates technological obsolescence: rather than migrate from one obsolete technology to another technology that eventually will be outdated, clients gain the benefit of a flexible Microsoft .NET platform supporting features and functionality that, via the Internet, always remain current. Microsoft ..NET is a key component of CORIS: it is agile and flexible and built to evolve. Thus it is best able to adapt to evolving business needs in a timely and cost-effective way, permitting your corrections operation to share information with external partners within an integrated justice environment. CORIS is able to send and receive information in compliance with the Global Justice XML schema. Our Company: xwave has a solid reputation built on successful project delivery: we continually strive to listen carefully to clients' needs and effectively meet their requirements. Supporting this quality of service is the fact that we are not merely a software developer; we are a large systems-integrator with highly-experienced consultants and proven methodologies. We are able to address the many diverse facets of enterprise-software implementation, thus mitigating our clients' project risk. Integration by Design: Correctional officers and case-workers require ready access to complete information on the offenders they manage; they must fully understand offender risk and needs in order to make the best possible decisions regarding security and treatment. Regional and central administrators also need accurate data to support sound decisions, and effective management of the overall operation. These benefits are enabled through the tight integration of the CORIS platform, and its centralized database and single electronic offender record. Regardless of where an inmate is currently located or previously has beenand regardless of whether a Department of Corrections (DOC) user is within a prison, probation office or central officeauthorized access can be gained to a given offender's profile. The result is a significantly improved quality of decision-making, enabled through the availability of accurate, real-time data. Integrated CORIS modules include extensive prison and probation/parole office operational functions; case management and treatment; classification and risk assessment; commissary/canteen; inmate trust; restitution case management; medical information; and much more. And xwave continues to evolve these capabilities within the Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) model: future modules include integrated business intelligence and inmate phone systems.
