CORIS is a genuine web-based Offender Management System (OMS), not a client/server application that has been web-enabled.  As such, it is designed solely to operate on a web platform. This is an important factor for clients because it not only delivers to them a higher level of functionality, but also eases and accelerates system maintenance and upgrades. This in turn eliminates technological obsolescence: rather than migrate from one obsolete technology to another technology that eventually will be outdated, clients gain the benefit of a flexible Microsoft .NET platform supporting features and functionality that, via the Internet, always remain current.
