Description:
CSi's Cashless Commissary and Trust Fund Accounting System (CACTAS) was first developed in response to a requirement generated by the North Carolina Department of Correction for a state‑of‑the‑art cashless commissary and trust fund accounting system for prison units. Working hand in glove with the NC-DOC team, CSi developed a system that utilized magnetic stripe ID card and UPC bar code scanning technology in the commissaries, the latest personal computer and local area network technology through out their institutions, and powerful but easy to use back office accounting capability. CACTAS has evolved through 7 major product releases, starting with a DOS product in 1992 and finally the Enterprise Web Edition developed under contract with the Ohio Department of Rehabilitation and Correction released in late 2006. Though CACTAS has changed dramatically over time, the CSi corporate mission has remained constant: To serve the Corrections Industry with quality software and services products. Our pledge is to lead corrections in the application of new technology as it applies to inmate banking and commissary automation systems.
Commitment to Corrections:
CSi's Corporate mission: To serve the Corrections Industry with quality software and services products. Our pledge is to lead corrections in the application of new technology as it applies to inmate banking and commissary automation systems.
