Since 1981, the National Curriculum & Training Institute, Inc. ® (NCTI) has been developing criminogenic specific offender education curricula and staff development training for use in the criminal justice system. NCTI has become a leader in the field of cognitive behavior change programs. Through a partnership with American Probation and Parole Association (APPA) our programs are currently used in probation departments, juvenile courts, state, county and municipal courts, sheriff's departments, police departments, detention centers, jails, prisons, and rehabilitation centers across the country. Most recently, NCTI's work in Criminal Justice has expanded to address the training standards and administrative objectives associated with the Prison Rape Elimination Act (PREA) of 2003. Our evidence-based curriculum provides agencies with prevention and identification strategies to reduce instances of sexual misconduct. NCTI's PREA curriculum is accredited by the American Probation and Parole Association.

NCTI has an extensive background as a provider of criminogenic specific, cognitive-based behavior change curricula designed for adult and juvenile offenders, as well as Staff Development workshops for Criminal Justice professionals. Our Mission is to serve, challenge and empower our members and constituents by educating, communicating and training; advocating and influencing; acting as a resource and conduit for information, ideas and support; developing standards and models; and collaborating with other disciplines.
