Stanly Community College is a public institution that awards associate degrees, diplomas, and certificates in a variety of majors. In corrections our most popular major is criminal justice. We are fully accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools (SACS) of the Commission on Colleges. For seven years SCC has offered an increasing number of programs and courses in online format with more courses and programs being offered each year. Several of our faculty have experience working in the field of corrections. One of our commitments is to make quality educational programs available to correctional professionals and to be a part of increasing professionalism and personal enrichment among correctional personnel.

Stanly Community College has offered the associate degree in criminal justice for over 30 years. Many of our graduates have advanced in rewarding careers in corrections, education, and other fields. Several of our faculty members have experience working in corrections. We are very committed to offering quality educational programs to the correctional professional in formats that meet their personal needs.
