Altoona, Pennsylvania – December 2, 2008 -- Digital Solutions/Inmate Telephone, Inc., a technology firm focused on improving operational efficiencies within the corrections industry through automation, is pleased to announce the company’s continued growth within the third fiscal quarter of 2008.

Newly Acquired Facilities

DSI/ITI has been very successful over the preceding quarter in expanding their customer base across the country with their three core product lines – the Offender Communication System (OCS), a trusted inmate phone service, the Offender Management System (OMS), the company’s industry-leading jail management software and their offender case management platform, the Probation and Parole Management System (PPMS). Appriss® Inc. Installations of OMS Lite

Thanks to an ongoing partnership between Appriss® Inc. and Digital Solutions Inc., many citizens may benefit from the nation’s leading victim notification system called VINE (Victim Information and Notification Everyday) – a system that allows registered victims and family members to receive immediate information on incarcerated offenders when they are released, transferred, or escape from a facility. DSI created a fully capable, yet scaled down version of their comprehensive web-based offender management system called OMS Lite for Appriss® Inc. in order to supplement smaller sites (less than 100 beds) with the jail management platform necessary to communicate inmate information into the VINE system. The following sites were equipped with both OMS Lite and the VINE system during the third quarter.

Barnwell County Detention Center; Barnwell, SC
Greene County Sheriff's Office; Leakesville, MS
Jackson County Sheriff's Office; Scottsboro, AL
McCormick County Detention Center; McCormick, SC
Simpson County Sheriff's Office; Mendenhal, MS
OMS and CorEMR Implementations

In July, Digital Solutions Inc. joined forces with CorEMR, an electronic medical records platform designed specifically for the corrections market, to assist facilities with their inmate medical management needs. This joint venture marks the first comprehensive integration of a jail management system with an electronic medical records product, enabling corrections professionals to answer the health maintenance needs of every inmate. Current customers benefitting from the integration of DSI’s Offender Management System and the CorEMR medical records system are listed below.
Adams County Adult Correctional Complex; Gettysburg, PA

Talent and Construction Growth

Similar to the company’s 98% customer retention rate, Digital Solutions/Inmate Telephone, Inc. also boasts noteworthy employee retention rates due to the company’s attractive company culture, comprehensive employee benefits package and focus on training and continuing education. Of the company’s current 125 employees, a significant number have been on staff since its inception in 1984 and many more have remained with the business for ten years or more. With the company’s remarkable growth over the past year, they continue to create additional positions and fill them with gifted professionals, many that have come from within the corrections industry.

“I am so proud of our accomplishments over this past year,” said Anthony Bambocci, President and CEO. “Our past victories and the future successes of this company may be solely attributed to our professional and loyal team members. Improving the experiences of our customers is the beating heart of our company and will always be the number one focus at DSI/ITI. With this mission as our guide, I have no reason to doubt that we will have continued success within our market space.”

To accommodate the growing workforce and in anticipation of future expansion, DSI/ITI has almost completed the remodeling of 35,000 square feet of newly purchased office space in their hometown of Altoona, Pennsylvania. This structure is more than twice as large as their current facility and can house an additional fifty employees, allowing for years of continued development and personnel growth.
