Altoona, Pennsylvania – APRIL 15, 2009 – Digital Solutions and Inmate Telephone, Inc. in cooperation with the Altoona-Blair County Development Corporation and the Altoona-Blair County Chamber of Commerce will hold a Building Dedication and Ribbon Cutting ceremony for their newly renovated facilities in the Commerce Park Building located at 5000 Sixth Avenue in Altoona on Wednesday, April 22, 2009, beginning at 3:00 P.M.

Digital Solutions and Inmate Telephone are both owned and operated by Mr. Anthony Bambocci and Mr. James Faith. The companies are dedicated to the development of computer software applications that automate the corrections industry. They have become the country’s largest provider of software solutions for this industry by focusing on the distinct needs of county jails, prisons, adult probation and parole and juvenile detention centers.

Digital Solutions and Inmate Telephone were founded by Anthony Bambocci, James Faith, and David Perove in 1984. Over 25 years later, the company now contracts with over 400 corrections agencies spanning more than 35 states. Over the past ten years, DSI and ITI have grown from a provider servicing primarily the Mid-Atlantic Region to a national figure in the corrections software development industry. As a result of continued customer development and retention, DSI and ITI outgrew their prior location and needed additional space to meet their growing customer demands.

The project involved the acquisition and renovation of the Commerce Park property in the fall of 2008. The $3.1 million project was financed by First Commonwealth Bank, ABCD Corp., Southern Alleghenies, and company equity. Completion of the project enabled DSI and ITI to expand from their previous building into a facility with more than 65,000 square feet of space. Over the past ten years, DSI and ITI have grown from a small staff of less than 20 workers to a company with more 130 people now employed at the firm. According to company President Anthony Bambocci, “DSI and ITI had grown to the point that we could no longer effectively meet all of our customers’ needs due to facility limitations. Completion of the project will enable DSI and ITI to better serve our clients while providing our employees with adequate workspace to operate more efficiently.”

Martin J. Marasco, President & CEO of ABCD Corp. stated, “Successful companies like DSI and ITI demonstrate that opportunities exist here in Altoona and the Central Pennsylvania Region for job opportunities in various technology fields.” Chamber Executive Director Joe Hurd remarked, “Entrepreneurs like Tony Bambocci and Jim Faith are to be commended for having the vision to see where growth opportunities exist and the drive to make their dreams a reality.”

The program will begin at 3:00 P.M. and will include a list of dignitaries. Light refreshments will be available after the Building Dedication and Ribbon Cutting ceremony along with tours of the new facility.
