Kissel Elected President of The National Alliance on Mental Illness Georgia Chapter

NaphCare’s Bill Kissel of Lilburn, GA on was recently elected as the state wide president of the National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI) Georgia Chapter. NAMI is Georgia’s largest mental health advocacy organization.

On May 21, 2011 the announcement was made at the Annual NAMI Georgia Conference.

Kissel currently serves as the National Director of Mental Health Operations for NaphCare Inc. He previously served as Director of Health Services for the Georgia Department of Corrections for 10 years. At the conference’s open forum following the election, Kissel promised members he would work hard to continue the NAMI goal of ensuring Georgians with a mental illness have access to quality treatment along with NAMI’s partnership with the Georgia’s Sheriffs, whose focus is to reduce the number of persons with a serious mental illness in jails.
