Corizon Announces New Vice President of Operations

BRENTWOOD, Tenn., (Feb. 26, 2013)—Corizon, the nation’s leader in correctional healthcare solutions, announced today the promotion of Rolly Maldonado to Vice President of Operations (VPO).

In his new role, effective immediately, Maldonado will lead Corizon’s Idaho contract with the Department of Corrections, in addition to his role managing the Wyoming DOC partnership.

“Rolly has clearly and consistently demonstrated an unwavering commitment to build and sustain strong client relationships,” said Tom Voss, Corizon’s Senior Vice President of Operations. “He possesses solid leadership values and an ability to effectively manage both people and processes in order to meet contract requirements. He will undoubtedly have continued success in his new role.”

Maldonado began his career with Corizon in 2006 as Regional Manager for the Wyoming Department of Corrections contract. In 2010, he was promoted to Regional Vice President, and in 2011 his team in Wyoming received the National Commission on Correctional Health Care (NCCHC) Program of the Year award for its implementation of an innovative weight management program for inmates.

Maldonado is a registered nurse and has earned Certified Correctional Health Professional (CCHP) certification by NCCHC. He received his Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing and his Master’s Degree in Public Administration from the University of Wyoming. He will report directly to Voss in his new role.
